Mexico is a nice county. It is quite beautiful. The people are absolutely pleasant. The service that people in Mexico provide is almost first class. This is a country that gives all they can for that American dollar.
When I was a young boy, we knew about the dark side of Mexico. Drugs rule the government, especially, along the Mexican border states. Some Mexican governors have tried to combat the drug trade, but that doesn't go anywhere. The problem is not Mexico. It's the American's demand for illegal drugs. This trade starts with us.
The drug market works like the stock market. If there is a demand, then there is a continual supply of drugs. Cut the demand, and the suppliers hurt.
How do we stop it? With all the technological advances we have developed, we are still unable to guard ourselves from drug imports. Wouldn't it be possible to design a large platform where vehicles pass through as they enter the country that would sense chemicals that make illegal drugs? Why can't we develop this?
The problem is not Mexico. The problem is us. If we don't want drugs in our country, then lets find ways to prevent them from entering our nation.
